Subject: Relatives still in Dorset?

I'm curious as to whether there still might be descendants of Thomas
Knott in Dorset County. Thomas Knott was born 22 Feb 1764 Shaftesbury,
Dorset and died 3 Dec 1845 in Boston, MA, USA.
m. (1) Mary Gardner 31 Jan 1788 Mary died 1801 Shaftesbury
m. (2) Elizabeth Norris
Thomas and Mary had 6 children: Maria, Thomas, James, Robert, Sarah and
Elizabeth (all born in Shaftesbury)
Thomas and Elizabeth had 4 children: Mary, Martha, John, William (all
born in Shaftesbury)

Of these children, James and Robert and a couple of the sisters (with
their husbands) came over to the U.S. and lived in the Boston area.
This happened sometime in the 1820-1826 time span. I have a copy of a
letter written by Thomas to his children in the U.S. collectively, on
Feb. 14, 1827. Thomas then followed to join them in 1830. He died in
Boston and was buried along with some of his children and their families
in the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, MA.

I have not found where the other children came over, so I'm thinking
part of the family stayed on in Dorset. Would someone know if KNOTT is
still a used name in the Dorset area? Thomas had lived in Shaftesbury,
but of course people do move about and find employment in other areas of
the country. Just a long shot I guess.

Would someone possibly have access to a 1841 census? See if there are
Knott's on that census?
