I'm looking for information about the GARLAND family of Owermoigne in the
early 1800s. The father was said to be Charles, a baker, and the mother
Betsey.

They had 7 boys and 3 girls. Daughter Elizabeth married William Penney in
1819. Son Thomas, a dairyman, married Jane Marsh in 1830. Another son was
probably named Jeremiah. These three siblings left England in 1845 for
Wisconsin Territory, USA.

Using church records and the 1851 census of Dorset, I think the following
might be other sons of Charles and Betsey:

Charles b1819 & Amelia, ch: Louisa b1845, Ann J. b1847, Emma b1848. All born
Owermoigne.

George b1801 & Elizabeth Ann Bishop, ch: Robert b1836, Rhoda b1838, Thomas
b1840, Eliza b1842, and Mary Ann b 1845. All born Owermoigne except Mary
Ann. Living Warmwell 1851.

Robert b1805 Owermoigne & Harriett b1803, ch: Jane b1834, Thomas b1836,
Harriet b1843. Lived Tincleton in 1851.

I will greatly appreciate any help with these GARLANDS, and am willing to
share all I have gathered about the family.

LouAnn
