Greetings,
My name is Gary Thomas Craze and I live in Houston, TX. USA.

Only recently have I begun to research the family tree across the pond to
the U.K,
and I'm hoping that some of you may have some guidance for me.

I'm hoping to link with the Cornwall Crazes since I've found many Craze
references
on the Cornish lists, but have been unable to make a link.
I've found that my Great-Great Grandfather, Charles Thomas Craze, was born
in Bournemouth (Jan 1, 1866). I've little info on his father other than a
name: Thomas Craze,
and the occupation of Joiner (carpenter I suppose? We have a few of his
carpentry tools still).

Charles Thomas married Catherine Louise Hughes of the Isle of Man on Dec. 3,
1883 (he was 17, she was 15). They were married at St. Silas in Liverpool,
and I have one of the two original marriage certificates. Two years later
my Great Grandfather, George Henry Craze was born, and shortly after that
they emigrated to Elmira, NY. USA.

I have some vague info from my grandfather's sister that Charles Thomas had
a brother, Victor Craze, with Victor having at least two children, George
and Elizabeth, and George having at least one child, Christopher. No dates
or locations on that branch, although I assume they all remained in the
U.K., perhaps in the southern region. I lend some credence to the info as
my grandfather was named Victor, supposedly after his great-uncle.

Any suggestions for searching in the Bournemouth area?

Many thanks in advance,
Gary
