Hi All,
Just to let you know, Mike Stickland's Database site is still going.
I accidentally found it the other week, at:
http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~mist/genealgy/
The site also has Sticklands in the 1851 census, an index of researchers and
anecdotes... I was looking for Sticklands because they are mentioned as
witnesses in the marriage of Joseph Paine (my 5g-grandfather) in the Wareham
parish registers and on his death certificate (Mary Stickland, informant,
Corfe Castle).

Paul, Jerry and Mary;
The Sticklands that Paul has mentioned are mine Frances and Nym are my
ggggggrandparents (that's 5 greats) their son William and his wife
Elizabeth Bridle are my 4g great grandparents. How are you suppose to
right that anyway?
I have a complete copy Of Mike Stickland's Data Base which I ran off when
he said he couldn't find someone to take over the site. I have put
together several possible lines that could continue mine, unfortunately I
am unable to link them to my Frances and Nym Stickland which is why I was
looking for some sort of birth record for Frances. I have several possible
lines that are Hilton but each seems to miss a generation.
What to do? What to do?
I want to thank-you all for you help as well as the others that I have
e-mailed separately. I might as well let everyone know that if they want
me to look up a Stickland in the Data base, send me your name and
approximate date and the place if you know it. I have been doing lookups
for people posting their interests from the Data Base for some time.
Thanks again,
Gloria Pare
