Nothing on the OS landranger map no.94. As you say, often these places are
local names for areas of the village or cottages, houses or farms, now long
forgotton. There is a lake or pond at Long Bredy; perhaps it was the area
round there. The only other places starting with 'W' in the Long Bredy area
are Whatbombe Down, Old Warren and Whitehill.
