Hello Helen and all listers.
Re Industries in the Marnhull District, I researched Marnhull whilst looking up my Framptons, they originated there. Many of the womenfolk were engaged in Glovemaking, you could call it a cottage industry as they were mostly "Outworkers", working from home on a pitiful wage, a few pence per five pairs of gloves, the principal would deliver the materials to the villages and collect the finished articles. There were two or three strikes organised to improve conditions, each one timed a few weeks before some big social event.
Hope this is of some use to some one interested in Marnhull.
