Extract:-
Most of the surviving subsidy records are kept at the Public Record Office,
but the Dorset returns have been transcribed and indexed are are available
in a bound volume in the Catalogue Room at Dorset Record Office (along with
the 1332 lay subsidy roll, Tudor Muster Rolls, Protestation Returns 1641/2
and the Hearth Tax of 1662/4). They are not available on film or fiche.

As Helen said the above are not available on film or fiche at the DRO but
the transcription of the Dorset Hearth tax has been filmed by the LDS and is
available through their centre, afraid I don't have the number to hand but
if I remember it came under Dorset - Taxes.

The LDS also list the Protestation Returns, but when I enquired my centre
said the film was not available?
