Hi Jim,
Miss Phyllis J. Drake, of 13 Roundmead Road, Basingstoke, Hants, RG21 8TR
has registered the surname CHAFFIN with the Guild of One-Name Studies. She
has apparently built up a collection of data on CHAFFIN and its variant
CHAFYN. This may not include any data on CHAFIE or CHAFFEY, but you could
contact her to see if she can be of help (from personal experience, it's
always meaningful to let other researchers know where you got their name
from, of course).
