Hi everybody!
I received this in the mail today from Mel Dutton, the
cousin I previously told you all about my dad meeting
at the hospital. He included a note saying that if we
"were playing connect-the-dots", he surely sent me "a
basket load of dots"! So here goes... It's a photo
copy that someone sent him. I don't know who. I've
copied it exactly as I have it. I'd be interested in
knowing how (and IF) the items that say they are
documented were documented.

Vol. #2. Genealogical Dictionary of New England- by
Savage

John Dutton came in 1630 but I know not where he
sat down. Thomas, Woburn, perhaps son of John- born
1621-had lived first at Reading- there by wife Susan
had son Thomas Dutton born 1648-Mary-born Nov. 14,
1651, Susanna born Febr. 27, 1654, John born March 2,
1656, Elizabeth born Jan. 28, 1659-Joseph born Jan 25,
1661, Sarah born March 5, 1662- James born Aug. 22,
1665-Benjamin born Febr. 19, 1669= removed to
Billerica, was there in 1675 with sons, Thomas, Jr.
and John. His son Thomas was wounded and had
remarkable escape in 1677, when Capt. Swott and many
of his men were killed in Indian War at E.
Thomas Sr's wife died May 27, 1684 aged 58.

Vol. #2.

David Parsons-1791-1848 in war of 1812, married
Mary Dutton, daughter of Thomas Dutton, Newburyport.

Vol. #3.-page 172 Documented

John Dutton came from England with Gov. Winthrop
1630.
Son Thomas, born 1621- Lived Reading, Woburn, and
Billlerica.
Thomas married Susannah (Susan).

Vol. 5.-page442

John Dutton (1648-1693)-came from Frodsham Parish-
Overton, Cheshire, Eng.
Settled on Chester Creek- Chester County,
Pennsylvania-married Mary Darlington.
(Note: This is the other John Dutton who settled in
Pennsylvania-was descendent of same Duttons in England
but from later generation.)

Vol. 5. page 652 Documented

Mary Neeld was wife of John Dutton who settled in
Mass. 1630 with Gov. Winthrop.

Vol. 6.
Dutton family again given in Vol. #6 page 416 and
page 771.

Reading, Mass. Births:
John Dutton, son of thomas, born 1656
Mary Dutton, daughter of Thomas, born Sept. 1651.

Susannah, daughter of Joseph and Mary Dutton- born
Oct. 11, 1694.

Thomas Dutton, Sr. married Ruth Hooper widow- Nov. 10,
1684 at Billlerica.
