I sent this message on 7 Nov 2001 to the List and have not seen a reply:

Didn't see a reply to my message so I'll send it again. This problem is also
happening in the Sample Project provided with FTST. Go to #1 Frank Alexander
and look at the PV. Notice the Son-Nat and Dau-Nat tags both have -3--- as
12DPM values. Now open either/both Son-Nat, Dau-Nat tags and look at the
surety values which are 3----. This is what I'm talking about. The PV screen
should reflect the same value that has been entered for the citation, but in
the case of Son-Nat or Dau-Nat tags the value is different from what was
entered into the citation. Why is this happening? It does not occur in TMG.

I, too, have noticed this change in surety values and am concerned about the
conversion or what ever is causing it. What is causing it? As I indicated in
the message to BobV it is also in the Sample Dataset in case anyone has
interest in taking a look at what we are discussing. Maybe a screen shot
will help.

: Something I've just discovered and I'm not sure whether it is a conversion
: error or bug.
:
: I notice that for any given parent who have children the surety value of
: any child changes position from position "1" to "2". In other words where
I
: have a child X who in TMG had a relationship surety value with his parents
: of 2 in position 1(12DPM), the value stayed the same but changed to
position 2.
:
: I hope this makes sense to someone and that they can offer an explanation.
: I can send up a screen shot if neccessary.
