Actually, this is what I pretty much did, once you told me how to do this.
However, I finally got pretty close to what I needed by making a half circle
on 270 deg. I was only trying to do four generations. I can cut the resulting
chart in half and get pretty much what I need. I had started making section
dividers for all my families, with a small fan chart to illustrate what part
of my pedigree that section represented. I made the fan charts with the Addon
for PAF, changed computers, thought when I saw your program advertised I'd
give it a try. This has been a fairly frustrating exercise.

anywhere on a fan chart, you'll see the small squares or "handles" around
its outer edges. The total size of the chart accommodates what would be a
full circle for each curved text generation. >
I was only using straight lines, but I think maybe I could have gotten it to
use the curved lines with the half circle on the 270 deg angle. But that
helps to visualize what it does by knowing it has to draw the whole circle,
at least in its "mind."
The bottom line is, I think there needs to be more explicit help or else a
manual. I am accustomed to learnign to use new software, have made my way
through several DTP programs, photo handling programs, most of the genealogy
programs except yours, (TMG) which costs more than I want to pay. Have had
more problem with this one program than with anything else I've used lately,
possible exception being Printmaster Gold.
I did think it was rather impressive the way the program sucked up my FO
files. including the pictures. GEDCOMs are such a mystery to a lot of
inexperienced users that eliminating that step is a blessing. I would be
interested to know if the screen that is used for FTST is the same as that
use in TMG? It seems fairly clear and easy to understand. I have a main
concern with a genealogy program in that I have considerable nerve damage to
my right hand and neck from too many hours in front of the computer. I am
wondering how easy it would be to use the program with Dragonsystems
Naturally Speaking (speech to text) program. Is nearly every operation
accessible by short-cut keys?
