Nick,
a) Although this is true *within* FTST, there is a very simple
solution. Use DOS (or Explorer) to RENAME any chart you have generated.
FTST will (re)create the default named charts if they do not exist. When
you want to reuse one of your earlier charts, simply COPY that saved
version back to the appropriate default chart name. For example, I have
CHALL-A.rpt, BECKER-A.rpt, CHALL-D.rpt, BECKER-H.rpt, etc. When I need
my CHALL family ancestral report, I copy CHALL-A.rpt to Ancestor
Chart.rpt, when I need the BECKER family hourglass report, I copy
BECKER-H.rpt to Hourglass Chart.rpt, etc.
It isn't quite as convenient as having a list of all variations
within the program as you have in TMG4, but it only adds a few seconds to
the operation and prevents any changes to my configuration from becoming
permanent unless I specifically save (RENAME) that version. I'm sure
that TMG5 will give us the internal capability again along with all (and
more?) text reports.

b) But you can change the line color to white (or whatever
background color you are using) so the box will seem invisible if all you
want to do is eliminate the outline.
