I suspect the reason you couldn't refresh was that the location of your TMG data files was changed in the process of reinstalling TMG - so there were no files at the location were FTST was looking for the refresh.
The reason for all the 2's is that you now have two datasets loaded in your FTST project - the original one and the new one. That's because you imported the new dataset into the same project you had been using. I'd think what you want to do now is to delete the original dataset. Go to File/Data Set Manager to open the Data Set Manager. You should see two datasets listed. Select the first dataset, and click Delete. That will remove it from the Project, and all the 2's should go away.
