Ok .. I admit I have not played with FTST much, however, due to some splitting of databases, I lost several marriage events ... or at least the 2nd principal. So, I restored two older versions of my database in an attempt to find the 2nd principal. My problem is that I have a very large database and it is very slow going through name by name ... so I was hoping to either filter or accent so I could more easily tell which is the one I am trying to repair (DB 1).
So, I was hoping to filter by Mother not know, Father known ... but can I request it for only DB1? .. or does it filter all three? I requested an accent to do the same .. and ALL the mother and father's are accented even if they have both father and mother.
Also, when I sort, is there anyway to do a second and third sort ... like DB# and name? .. or what does it sort on when it finds a match in the first sort?
I keep getting an error when I request a search for anything but surname .. Invalid subscript Reference 45 CNTNAMESAL MUPDATE.
What I would like to do is have the first DB give me all mother unknown, father known .. and the other two DBs only if the mother is known ... then search for the father unknown and mother known in DB1 .. and have the other DBs show only if they know the father and mother .. then on the spouses. Am I asking it to do too much?
I am using Picklist in Column mode so it is easy to see them together... it just takes forever for it to move.
