I am researching the surname SCHEIBENBERGER and have found a Sheiben Berg,
a hill, near Bad Windsheim, Germany ( mid-way between Nurmberg and
Wurtzburg, and a Scheibenberg, a town, east of Bayreuth, nearly in what is
now the Republik of Czech. Can someone suggest a connection?
I have been told by one member of the family that these people came from
Salzburg, Austraia to Ansbach in Bayern in the late 1700's. The family
trade was weaving. Can someone suggest how I can develop this search?
Not a common name but information is extremely scarce. Please e-mail
suggestions. Thanks for your help.
