Dr. Richard Waxweiler, Berlin, Germany
eMail:

Dear Mr Daleiden,
I am pleased to meet you. I do family research in the same region as
you, the Eifel. From the end of June I will be in the village of
Waxweiler, which is about 15 km east of the village of Daleiden. If
you want me so, I will visit the cemetery there and look for Daleiden.

I know someone, who is working about the emigrants leaving the Eifel
for the USA. He might help you further. His adress is: Werner Lichter,
Eisenacher Str. 20, 54298 Gilzem, Germany. At the moment he neither
have email or internet. I will meet him and tell him about you.

As far as Neuerburg, Arzfeld and Trier is concerned, you should write
to the "Standesamt", which is the registrar's office or marriage
license bureau. Probably Arzfeld is the right for you. I will find out
the adresses, in the moment I don't want, because it is shortly before
midnight here in Berlin. I myself have been to the Arzfeld and
Neuerburg Standesamt.

But beside the Standesamt you have a very good source: it is the
Bistumsarchiv Trier, Jesuitenstr. 13b, 54290 Trier. It ist the archive
of the roman catholic church and a real tresure. Trier is a university
town and there are students who would do the research work for you for
money. I know of DM 15 an hour, which is about 6 US $. You could aks
in the Bistumsarchiv for adresses.

So, that is all for now, my best wishes
Waxweiler
