I don't know if this will help or not .. my grandfather immigrated in
1879.
I think there are applications somewhere for immigration. You might check
town records. I also understand that the records from the port of Bremen
were destroyed.
If you are looking for information re: date of leaving and arriving as
well as the name of the ship, it can be found on the application for
naturalization. Ask for a copy of the application as well as the actual
naturalization record .
Here is another hint. I usually search the LDS records, but I have also
sent directly to the city that my ancestors were from.. I sent a family
tree and marked the information that I needed about each person. I
recieved packets of information and saved myself a lot of time searching
records.
