I have a great deal of ancestry recorded for the Haas family in Wurtenberg
area. I am trying to trace a family named Schelect from the same area.
The parents were Ludwig Schlecht and Mary Miller Schlecht. They died in
Germany around 1880 or before. Two sons and one daughter emigrated to the
US. One son was named Ludwig Schlecht. He settled in Brooklyn, later
moving to Syracuse NY with a possible stop in Pennsylvania. Married
Dorothea Hengstler, two sons.
