The above is correct. There has never been a surname registry on the
GEN-DE-L List or the newsgroup. On the USA side of the world there are
several web sites or pages where this can be done.
We recently had a good message about the RSL and how to place names and good
information on this list. I have been trying to contact some of the persons
that have sent "register mine" messages personal notes. Education of the
best way to do anything such as use email, newsgroups, www pages or sites,
and etc can be slow and sometimes "painful" [especially to the pocket books
of the European subscribers] process.
