For those of you interested in the ancestry of Catherine Baillon
A new book has been published about Catherine Baillon:
Nicole Mauger and Raymond Ouimet. Catherine de Baillon: enqute sur une
fille du roi. Sillery, QC: Les ditions du Septentrion, 2001.
Mauger and Ouimet publish there findings on the social origins and family
background of Catherine Baillon in this book. It is available from the
publisher and can be ordered from the web site at
http://www.septentrion.qc.ca/Livres/292.html.
I have ordered a copy and hope to read it soon. M. Ouimet has kindly shared
some of his findings with me in the past, so I am anxious to see the
completed project.
It is great to see other researchers publishing their findings regarding
Catherine Baillon. There is much more that can be learned about her and her
ancestors.
The Baillon web page at http://habitant.org/baillon has been modified to
reflect the publication of this new book.
