I am looking for the baptismal record for my g-g-grandfather, Henry
Buteau, son of Louis Buteau and Marie Desanges Grenier. Based on his
death in 1871 in Baltic, CT at the age of 48 , he was probably born in
1822, and probably in the region of St. Ours to Sorel. There are birth,
marriage and death records for his sisters in St. Charles sur Richelieu,
St. Ours and Sorel. Henry married Caroline Tribot dit Lafricain on
October 9, 1840 in Montreal. She died not long after giving birth at the
age of 16 in December, 1841. In January, 1843, Henry married 20 Marie
Dufault in Sorel.
