1. Mar. contract 6-10-1670 (Sousseing prive)
contrat de mariage sous seign prive (seign=signature;
prive=private)

The marriage contract was signed by both parties in the absence of a notary
(quite common at that period; it was probably given to a notary for
safekeeping at a later date. In that case, the Church records
must be missing, so that the private contract becomes the only proof that
the marriage took place

2. ..primere apparition: temoin marche 3 Mars...
Premiere apparition: temoin a un marche le 3 mars
First appearance (mentionned in a record) as a witness to a deal (sale,
lease, money lending or whatever) on March the 3rd. -

A mention such at this is helpfull to establish an approximative date of
arrival for a new settler.
