I have the following:
MARTIN'S HUNDRED, THE DISCOVERY OF A LOST COLONIAL VIRGINIA SETTLEMENT,
1982 Ivor Noel Hume,
In 1618, 2 years before the Mayflower set sail, 220 English settlers were
sent to populate the 20,000 acre Martin's Hundred tract on the James River
in Virginia. 3 years later the settlement was ravaged by an Indian massacre.
The settlement was re-discovered by accident in 1970. Shards of pottery,
hardware, and graves with skeletons (4 in a grave without coffins) showing
split skulls and evidence of scalping gave evidence of attack and epidemic.
