· Genealogical Abstracts from Tennessee Newspapers, 1821-1828. (1991).

These genealogical abstracts are a gold mine for researchers attempting to
locate early settlers of Tennessee. Data includes marriage and death notices,
notices of mail held at post offices, sale of property, runaway slaves,
notices of lawsuits and property seizures, and much more with a complete
surname index.

This CD-ROM uses the powerful Adobe Acrobat reader (for Windows and
Macintosh, provided free on the CD; the corresponding viewer for other
operating systems, can be downloaded free of charge from www.adobe.com. The
format preserves the look of the original page and allows the user to search
the text for names of people and places. When you run a search, the hits are
