This Special First Manassas Edition was put out by Civil War Times Illustrated in July, 1980. Softcover, 8-1/4x11, 49 pages, good condition, no tears or marks. It is profusely illustrated and has a number of nice maps. Contents include:

First Manassas - The Story of the Bull Run Campaign by Virgil C. Jones. This lengthy article comprises almost the entire magazine, with the exception of 3-4 pages. It tell of events leading up to the battle, the battle, and the aftermath. There are numerous actual photographs, artists sketches, and engravings. Examples of the different uniforms are shown, and the changing battle lines are shown in a chronological timespan.

This First Battle of "Bull Run" will never be forgotten and anyone with ancestors who served in this battle should want this to pass down in their family.
