This extract is the complete text for the town of Rowley.
Contains: a list, with brief family sketch, of the 59 earliest from a 1643
survey; a list of the 49 families appearing after 1643 but before 1660 in
the same format; a tabulation, with comments, of various houselots in 1661;
a listing of those who served in the French and Indian War (1755-6); a list
of those who served in the Revolutionary War; a list of those who served in
the Civil War with unit and service. Good historical and early settler
background. Some contemporary biographies.
