He makes a statement that needs no defense: he says "we don't know"
plus of course the stronger "we can't know".
His first point never requires defense: it's up to others
to say "here's the proof". It is impossible to prove "we can't
know",
so he does not have to prove it. It's up to others to show how
it can be proved. Obviously, as I mentioned, if somebody discovered
the "Dead Sea Genealogical Scrolls" and they were dated as
contemporaneous,
then that could be proof. What he should have said is "unsupportable
with present data".
We need a DSH'ish statement here: I'm not good at that sort of
attack.
