I miss the first message on the Dethick family. I too am interested in Simon
Dethick family.

This what I have:


Esq Simon Dethick, born Abt.1490 in North Elmham, Norfolk, England; died
1542 in Wormegay, County Suffolk, England. He married Rose Crowe 1526 in
Norfolk, England. Rose Crowe born Abt. 1506 in Norwich, England; died Bef.
1600 in England. She was the daughter of Christopher Crowe and Christian
Unknown.

Children of Simon Dethick and Rose Crowe are:

1. Christian Dethick, born Bet. 1526 - 1542 in Norwich, England; died Abt.
January 25, 1577/78 in Norwich, England; married Sir Thomas Pettus October
29, 1548 in England.

Thanks for bringing forward this surname. For myself, I'd be
grateful for any information re: Simon Dethick, said to be of North
Elmham, Norf, and fa. with Rose Crowe of Christian Dethick who m. Sir
Thomas Pettus, Sheriff of Norfolk (Mayor of Norwich in 1591), &/or of
'Jone' Dethick, said to be mo. of John Pettus (fa. of Sir Thomas
Pettus above).
