Having unusual personal interest in this line, I'm excited to hear of
the article and greatly appreciate your alert.

I appreciate your kind offer enormously. But actually what I'd give
anything to see is the whole Pendleton article - which I'm afraid
will happen much after its publication - but you're safe, I can't
drum up the temerity to ask that! Since there are few collections
maintaining _The Virginia Genealogist_ here (UK) -- (I'm not sure
even the Soc of Geneals has a consistent run of it) -- without this
notice from you I'd've otherwise been likely to miss it altogether,
at least until a later research trip to the US or some long-hence
'visit' to PERSI! But now thanks to you I'll see what I can do.

The work sounds intriguing. Is it yours?

Thanks for this, Gordon.

No 'evidence' whatsoever - only online hearsay (which is why my
phrase 'said to be'!)

Thanks, too, Janet Ariciu, for your material, which I suspect (if not
fear) comes from the same source. (I'm thinking of e.g. Josephine
Lindsay Bass & Becky Bass Bonner's nicely energetic but not very
persuasive stuff on
