The evidence for the maiden name of the wife of Symen/Symonde Dethicke of
Northelmham, Gent. comes from his will, which named two brothers-in-law, Thomas
Crowe and Richard Crowe. Included below is my brief abstract of this will:

Norwich, Norfolk, England
FHL #0094884
Consistory Court Wills Registers Norwich
Vol. 47 (Cooke), Years Covered 1539-1543
pp. 262b-267 (10 pages)
1543
Will of Symen/Symonde Dethicke of Northelmham, Gent.
Wife: Rose
Children: Christian (daughter), Rose, Elisabeth, Thomas (less than 21), Henry
(youngest son), Richarde (less than 21), Christofer, John
Others: brothers-in-law Thomas Crowe and Richard Crowe
Executor: wife Rose

I will leave further details on this family and their descendants until the
publication of the article. FYI, the editor of "The Virginia Genealogist," John
Frederick Dorman, is also a descendant of Philip Pendleton and he was excited
when he received this article two months ago, but because of previous publication
commitments, he will be unable to publish the article until the October-December
2004 issue.
