Puckel Street (MP) From Mt. Alexander Rd to railway
crossing declared a Public Highway 27 May 1887. The
Reverend E D Puckle was vicar of St. Thomas' Church
from 1856 to 1878. However, it is more likely that
the name was in honour of Sydney Puckle, who owned the
land on the south side of Puckle Street from Mt.
Alexander Rd., to the railway line, prior to
subdivision.
