In 1994 when I started doing my family history I produced a basic wall chart
for display at our WHITCHURCH reunion. The program I used was an old Dos one
called Gedbox. I don't know if I still have it filed away on a floppy
somewhere or not.
Anyway what it did was print out my tree in landscape on a dot matrix
printer on continuos paper. The end result was a tree only one page deep but
many many pages wide. From memory I think that was for seven generations. We
put this on the wall (it went around two walls) and coloured each family
line a different colour to match the ribbon attached to their name tag the
people attending were given on entry. I also asked for any corrections etc.
to be written on the chart. The information on the chart was printed in a
normal drop line fashion with each individual's information in a boxed
format. I still have the chart if you need to see an example. I could scan a
page and send to you.

Before I sent this email to you I tested a box chart in Brothers Keeper.
That is the same sort of thing that Gedbox did, actually it is better than
what I used as you have some preference choices such as bold printing the
descendants names etc. Where are you holding your reunion? In a hall
perhaps?
If so, I am sure your chart would go continuously around the walls. It was
great to stand back and watch everyone tracing their names along the
coloured lines.

Lyn
