Referring to item 2 in your welcome message, I now declare this thread to be
in the "extended" phase:

2) Keep your messages relevant to genealogy. DNA
testing has many other applications in medicine,
archaeology, and forensics, to name just a few
disciplines. However, there are other newsgroups
and mailing lists for these topics, and
subscribers may be encouraged to move extended
discussions off-list.

Anyone interested in pursuing this topic may do so in private e-mail or on a
newsgroup at dejanews.com, where several threads have sprung up about "Mungo
Man."
