Hi Ann and Everyone,
Point well taken Ann. I realize I should not mention this without being willing to step up to the plate myself (I can't start another right now), but we need a list for how DNA will work in traditional genealogical research and what it will do for we family historians - one who at least some of you experts will read and post to. Anybody here who ever wanted to be Mom to a list? Thanks to any of you for considering that idea.
Sorry for being OT.
Kay

Subject: [DNA] List Guidelines (e.g. WINGFIELD project and Marfan syndrome)
The recent posts about the WINGFIELD project are good examples of how to
handle the interface between traditional genealogical research and DNA test
results.
There is a fuzzy boundary, of course, but in general, this list is for the
technical DNA details. Brief discussions of the genealogical background are
very welcome -- as I've said before, DNA test results in isolation mean
nothing. But extended discussions of the genealogical aspects are best
handled on the appropriate surname list.
