It how you define "expert" that probably will make the difference. I'm
certainly no expert, so I can only speak from a very limited perspective.
Once you decide what it is you want to know, there is
much information at this site. For instance click on either site below and
you will find discussion on just about any DNA subject you could imagine
[the second serves as an index]. I would suggest, however, maybe going to
other sites [listed below] for some pre-learning.

http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=GENEALOGY-DNA

http://newsarch.rootsweb.com/th/index/GENEALOGY-DNA

Also, you might want to look at other project manager's sites to see what
they have to say about DNA testing:

http://www.duerinck.com/project.html This site will also give you more
ideas.

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~allpoms/geneticsportal.htm

These gentleman have done an outstanding job in keeping project managers
informed.
There are many more that come to mind that are most helpful, but too
numerous to mention. Most of these project sites give suggestions for
readings, which I assume helped them and they in turn pass it on to others.

Lastly, possibly two very good sources for information and education would
be:

http://www.savin.org/dna/dna-book.html

http://tkandell.dyndns.org/

There are many more I'm sure that can be suggested by others who camp here.

regards,
Jim Hull
