Steve: Could I ask you why you suggest using the meta name "pagetype"
rather than "keywords" in which the contents would be separated by commas?
In your suggestion would the crawlers and search engines consider the items
as individual entries or a single entry? My understanding is that keywords
will produce better results but I am be in error.

Thanks.

Well, never send a message after only one cup of coffee.

Other corrections:
"This can be in the text of the page . . ."

"I believe it will make finding such pages . . ."

One reader asked for an example of the meta tag:

<meta name="pagetype" content="Genetic Genealogy Test Results" />

You could add Y DNA or Mt DNA to be more specific.

This would go in the <head><title>Your Page Title</title> <meta INSERT HERE
/></head>

Otherwise, just put the phrase in the text of the page.

I also endorse the Webring and am a member of it.
