Roy, Jim...
You noted...
"I match William McCeney 24 out of 25 and know of no relationship to him or
James
Rader."
Many of us have talked earlier about SURNAMES being around for only 1000
years...
is it possible that all 3 of you originated from the same Scottish clan
before
SURNAMES became the norm in 400-980 A.D.....and that you are all indeed from
the
same "sept" of the same clan..
I am a LOWE but told that the McClarens are my clan as other neighbors that
married
into this family....but yet we have not had any of the McClarens or their
"septs"
join our LOWE DNA project to test this hypothesis.. Here are some of the
"sept"
SURNAMES names below associate with the McClarens...
FAED LARNACH LAURENCE LAURENSEN LAURIE LAW LAWRENCE LAWSON LOW LOWRIE LOWSON
MACFADE
MACCLARENCE MACCRORIE MACFAIT MACFATER MACFEAD MACFEAT MACGRORY MACLERAN
MACPATRICK
MACPETRIE MACPHAIT MACPHATER MACRORIE PAT(T)ERSON PATRICK PETERKIN PETERS
RORIE
RORISON
As I guessed day before yesterday that there might be 16-20K (English)
surnames....
here we can condense 31 septs into one McClaren clan lineage..... We may all
find
out that we have a SURNAME that doesn't fit the observed DNA fitted
SURNAME...
What a surprise.........
Bill "McClaren ? Lowe" Bailey but also maybe German ???
