I just received the results of mtDNA testing of my 103 year old mother in law - unique. There are no matches in the FTDNA or OA databases. Here are the numbers: 069T 126C 148T.
069 126 is "classic" J (Jasmine) as I understand it. It seems that it is the 148T number that is an anomaly.

Looking at the Macaulay supplementary table to the Richards article in the AJHG, I located 3 matches to my mother in law's mtDNA. In this world - wide data base the matches were 1 Iraqi, and 2 from South Eastern Europe (Bulgaria and Romania). Rather odd considering my mother in law's maternal great grandmother was from Tennessee.
Still, I would welcome comments from anyone who can help me interpret the data. Thanks. David.
