Good...but you talk about MtDNA while Orin is talking Y chromsome DNA : quite differentt techniques ...quite different purposes and quite different goals.

Hello all.....going onto a site/e-list such as this is like getting up speed
for the freeway entrance!!! I think I have my speed up now!!

For one thing, I am not a scientist and there
are no classes in "DNA" in my area...so I am sticking to the basics.

I hope I am encouraging the more simple minds out there to go ahead with a
plan for your DNA. If you are old, such as myself, just finding out that
your DNA stretches back 11,000 to 30,000 years back might be good enough!!
