Another question....to twease the brains of those geneticists
among us who can answer this second inquiry...

How do these percentages change........?????
If I am 33% Asian, 33% European, 33% North American and
1% something else....How are these percentage changed
by marrying and having children with someone 100% European
or 100% Asian or 100% North American...?
********************************************************************

Has anyone organized the mtDNA results for the Melungeon groups
to determine if the percentages of European, Asian, and or North
American has some kind of pattern that is related...to SURNAME,
settlement area, or any other factors ?

If these folks were here long before Jamestown....then this
is an important part of American history...I follow this with
interest as most of my mothers family were from the mountains
areas of the Virginias, Tennessee and Kentucky..

Bill
