<snort> lol.. well I know a lot of guys now a days that have no problem with having women pay... sigh... oh for the good ol' days <grin>.. anyway it would probably be best if approaching another person to say that the DNA research group (for whatever surname) will cover the cost .. that way it lends a little more "authority" for the test and looks a lot less like a one man show - which can steer people off (most of us are cynics and wonder what's in it for YOU especially if they don't understand the genealogy bug <grin>). It also looks less like they are accepting "charity" from a woman. (I don't consider it charity but some men as you said can feel that way).
Anyway just a suggestion.
