Anyone know the reason for and advantages from combining 385a and 385b, etc. into single data box entries in the new FTDNA Projects
format? It does throw another obstacle in the way of transfering haplotypes into private excel databases.

At the time we were complaining that these markers (and DYS459, DYS464 etc) were converting to dates when imported into Excel, FTDNA
responded that they often had 6 or 8 markers at DYS464, for instance and so they were using this "new" method for storing
multi-value markers in their database and also displaying them this way too. Certainly makes it harder for data-mining. Advantage
clearly was at their end only.
