I suspect those users were asking for tweaks to the existing system to make
their jobs easier, Jim. I doubt that very many people were requesting a whole
new system to learn. It is difficult to feel grateful about changes that make a
volunteer job more difficult.

What about all of the users who repeatedly ask for new features? I was at the
annual conference in TX, and the IT folks were hit with all kinds of requests
for change. I think the IT folks get very few thank yous and requests to keep
the status quo. After all, DNA for genealogy is still on the frontier, and we
should expect change as our hobby advances.
