I am researching a family of the above name(s) and wonder if anybody may
have Matheson's "Surnames of Ireland 1890" and could let me know what he
says about the surname distribution.

Also I understand the McNaugher is derived from MacCONNOR (rather than
O'CONNOR). Can anyone elaborate on that.

I would appreciate any advice.
