My grandparents' marriage certificate of 1923 shows that they were married
in Belfast according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of Ireland.
I had expected it to be in a Presbyterian chapel.

My question is;
In 1923, shortly after partition, was it a requirement for all non- Roman
Catholic marriages to take place within the established Church, in the same
way that in England all pre-1837 marriages had to be in Church of England
churches?
