According to Ida Grehan - Dictionary of Irish Names - it is properly spelled
Falloon or in Irish Gaelic ó Fallamhain. It is common in the
Athlone area in southern Roscommon. The family had a castle in Dysart in 1595.
It is now common in Ulster and also spelled Fullen.
