Delores Asmus
Delores I. Asmus, 73, of Fort Collins, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Poudre
Valley Hospital. A memorial service will be at a later date. Bohlender
Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Delores Newton was born Oct.
31, 1928, in Wellington, to Raymond L. Newton and Marie Hubrecht Newton. She
married William Murph. She later married Raymond H. Asmus on Aug. 16, 1958,
in LaPorte. She lived all of her life in the Fort Collins area. She was a
homemaker, telephone operator and a cashier at Woolworth's. She enjoyed
shopping, visiting and spending time with her child, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Eads of Fort
Collins; a sister, Joyce Remilong of Wyoming; a cousin, Marjorie Matthews;
three grandchildren, Karen Lucia and her husband, Dan, Michael Murph, and
Cassiopia Eads; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Lucia, Aaron
Barnes and Kristina Barnes. Her husbands and her parents preceded her in
death.
