Marie Felte, 94, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Windsor Health Care in
Windsor. Friends can visit from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Windsor Memorial
Chapel. A service will be at 10:30 Friday at Faith United Church of Christ in
Windsor. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor. Marie Weber was
born Dec. 25, 1907, in Windsor to Henry and Marie Harmonie Weber. She married
Alex Felte on Feb. 22, 1929, in Severance. He died Dec. 1, 1984. She was a
member of Faith United Church of Christ, Women's Fellowship, Germans from
Russia, and Windsor Senior Citizens. She was educated in Severance and lived
on a farm north of Windsor. She moved to Windsor and owned and operated
Marie's Ceramics until 1990. She enjoyed crocheting, donating much of her
work to the Salvation Army and the hospital. She crocheted doll clothes that
the Salvation Army used as Christmas presents for children. She crocheted
baby caps for the hospital for more than 30 years. Survivors include a son,
Robert Alex Felte of Windsor; two daughters, JoAnn Jane Ochsner of Windsor
and Pamela Marie Felte of Ault; a sister, Pauline Rosh of Denver; seven
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband, an infant daughter, Carolyn; two brothers, Henry and Carl Weber;
and a sister, Mollie Schauerman. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made
to Faith United Church of Christ or Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern
Colorado Inc. in care of the Windsor Memorial Chapel.
