Donna,

There are a number of Oster family members that have been extracted from
the 1920 U.S. Census. Some of them are listed as South Russia and Odessa
as well as Russia.

Go to the following URL: Then at the top of page type in Oster and click
on search and it will bring up the Oster's that are on the list. I would
suggest that you try different spellings also as the enumerator of the
Census weren't know for their spelling abilities.
