Harlan "Harley" C. Grummert, 78, of Fort Collins, died Sunday, June 30, 2002,
at home with his family nearby. A memorial service will be at a later date.
Harlan "Harley" was born Nov. 20, 1923, to Fred and Bertha (Pollock) Grummert
in Superior, Neb. (Nuckolls County). He came to Fort Collins in 1960. On Feb.
16, 1947, he married Alice Marvel Ulsh at Salem Lutheran Church, just north
of Superior. Harlan worked for 25 years as a carpenter for the cement plant,
retiring on Jan. 1, 1986. Harley was a member of the Moose Lodge and also
supported the 700 Club and the
& W Radio Church. He was a firm believer and had extreme faith in the Lord.
Harlan is survived by his wife, Alice Marvel Grummert of Fort Collins; three
children, Jo Hannon and her husband, Don, Dan Grummert and his wife, Tish;
and Dave Grummert and his wife, Ann; four grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild, all of Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by a brother,
a sister, and a son, M. Samuel (Dan's twin). Memorial contributions can be
made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Goes Funeral Care.
